5 different choreographers, 4 of them residents in Austria and one young theatre maker, Irena Čurik, from Croatia, worked with an “experimental subject” (in German: “Versuchsperson”), whose part is taken by Silke Grabinger. In the end, there are 5 individual pieces of about 10 minutes each, which are presented consecutively in a single performance. The four choreographers have worked with Silke Grabinger separately at different points during the period from 2009 to 2011. Last piece with Croatian artist has been developed during artistic residencies in Linz and Zagreb in June and September, 2012, with the premiere of the piece on New Ganz New Festival.

The aim of the project is to find new ways of dealing with the well-known patterns that exist in the field of dance and performance. The authors want to break unuttered taboos. The standard situation involves one choreographer who arranges one or more dancers according to an artistic plan, which is either predefined or devised in the course of the work. This general idea is now inverted and redefined, as one dancer performs five pieces by five completely unique choreographers/creators.

It is a juxtaposition without any presetting with everybody following the same rules. No common motif is given, only a time limit of about 10 minutes. Thus, the dancer becomes the experimental subject of her own dance experiment.
