INTERVJU

3. Kamo želiš stići?

Trenutačno me zanima istraživanje granica – gdje nešto završava a drugo započinje.

INTERVIEW

1. Where are you starting from and how?

My point of departure is mostly architecture, situations and “the concepts of things”; this always makes me wonder enough to ask a question: how we have arranged ourselves in the world. My approach to theatre is like that too. I am interested in the notion of theatre as a place for real time experiences, but maybe because I also have a background in fine arts, I often find myself questioning what theatre is, and what it can be. Right now I am interested in how a space and an audience can become main characters in a performance, eliminating the need for an actor.

2. Which way are you going?

My ways have been created through coincident and fascination. I have a BA in Acting from the Norwegian Theatre Academy and a MFA in Fine Arts from the Art Academy in Oslo. Now I am standing somewhere between the stage and the gallery filled with curiosity of what this in-between position might bring.

3. Where are you going to?

Right now, I am interested in exploring the borders of where something ends and something new begins. In my work I would like to distort things that seems known to us into something that is not quite possible to put in words. It’s not deconstruction that is my drive, but it is re-arranging and re-thinking my surroundings. For some time now I have worked site- and situation-specific, mostly outside the theatre and gallery space. And for the future, I am playing with the idea of making something inside the theatre, maybe something slightly more conventional, like something on stage.
